We’re Growing Again!

It’s official – we’re starting the process for another adoption for our family.  We’d love to have you join us in this journey!  Here’s several ways that you can help and be part of this process!

1. PRAYER – Please pray for us as we go through this process.  Adoption has lots of uncertainty, waiting, and expense (like anyone adding children to their family!).  We’d love to have you pray to our great God about these things with us – for patience, understanding, continued hope, as well as financial support from those around us.
2. FINANCES – This time around, we really are hoping to raise most of the money for our adoptions.  Our previous two adoptions occurred so quickly, we weren’t able to prepare financially.  This time, we’re asking for people to help support us and we’re coming up with creative ways to raise the necessary funds.

UPDATES:

9/11/2010: Isn’t God amazing? Over the last few months, Emily and I have prepared ourselves for the adoption process again.  But, along the way, our hearts, while still 100% dedicated to adopting more children, have been redirected.  Redirected?  How?  Well, the simple answer is this: We want to be debt-free before we adopt again.  We know that God could still present an opportunity for adoption sooner – in which case we certainly will not turn it down, but until God intervenes, we’re going to focus on debt reduction.  Continue to pray for us as we work hard to stay on budget, stay committed to God’s will for our lives, and continue to help others understand about adoption and how important it is!

7/9/2010: Just wanted to update everyone about the adoption process.  We recently moved, and in preparation for another little one, we have decided it is extremely important for us to be as debt free as possible.  We’re going to focus on debt reduction until after Christmas, and then decide if it’s the right time to start the paperwork for the new home study and the rest of the process.  Thanks for your prayers as we do the “housecleaning” portion of our adoption process!

5/6/2010: Today, we’re making it public that we’re ready to start the process for our next adoption. Different this time is our desire to have as much of the money as possible before we officially put our name on the adoption list with our agency. We loved how quickly our family grew before, and hope for it again, once we’re financially closer to being ready.
