The Adoption Need

Over the last number of months, my wife and I have been reminded of the need for adoption.  Recently at a fundraiser for a local crisis pregnancy center, abortion statistics were offered.  In certain minority communities, over 3/4 of all pregnancies are ending in abortion.  This is staggering when you think about it.  Based on this statistic, it’s easy to see the crisis.

No matter how you feel about the options available to women in difficult situations, the thought that it would be so extensively used is hard to fathom.  What drives a woman or a couple to make such a decision?  How hard it must be to feel such loss of hope, such misery, such deep anguish.  But, there is hope – and telling others in any way possible about adoption shares much of that hope.
